Spring

March brought a lot of things, just not a lot of blog posts. I posted a bit about Tommy's arrival, and here is a photo. I don't have my brother's baby picture, but anybody who knew James as a baby will think this face looks familiar.
Emma regressed a little and is getting over her jealousy now.
Emma had a birthday. She's hitting all her milestones and a couple more. She's just over average height and just under average weight.
Emma has incredible toddler fashion sense. She makes a lot of her wardrobe decisions, and I'm letting her.
March brought Grandma. When the doctor recommended a C-section, we had a few hours to get the girls ready and made a couple phone calls to let folks know what was happening. By the time we returned to the hospital, Clinton's mom was buying tickets to visit for 3 weeks. She knew that we would need help, and she correctly guessed that no other grandma or aunt could make it.
I felt so spoiled to have her here with us. She cooked. She cleaned. She read stories. She worked  on letters and numbers with Lizzy. She took the girls shopping. She let me nap. She sent us to the temple. She held the babies. She gave Emma special attention. She played Candy Land over and over. She played memory over and over. She was amazing.
We drove out to the Lincoln Memorial one Saturday while she was here. We drove up to Gettysburg another Saturday. I mostly sat, but it was fabulous to get out.
And there you have it. We have changed our game from man-to-man defense and are now playing zone.
Thanks to Grandma for helping in the transition.

Aren't grandmas great! I understand the zone and the middle child issues. We're still dealing with both...forever.

So fun to see all these pictures. I love them all, especially the last one of all the kids. Your baby is so, so cute. And I'm glad you had such fabulous help!

Awwwhhh. Soo cute. Glad to hear that you are adjusting to zone defense. I have been wondering about you. I actually really enjoyed everything about my third baby--I think it took me that many to mellow out. And I cried when you mentioned Grandma coming! How incredibly selfless and helpful and overwhelmingly wonderful for you! Good luck with the future!

Mother-in-laws are the BEST!!!! All three of mine were c-sections and my hubby's mom was amazing like that too!! I love being a mom and I love my moms!!! Three is the lucky number. Get ready for lots of fun/insanity. Just like the conference talk......you're gonna have a house full of bedlamites!!! And your babe is ADORABLE!!
