Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon

It's a small world, they say, and even smaller within the LDS church. The World Wide Web shortens the distances still further.
Upon arriving in Maryland we made lots of great friends. One family moved to North Carolina and I keep track of them through their blog. The links along the side of many blogs will lead you through a chain of others.
Our friend shouted out one of her friends, whose link I followed. And there among the friend-once-removed side links was the name Kelly and Amy Bird... who lived in our ward in Salt Lake City. The Birds have a treasure trove of our old friends on their side links. VIOLA - friends.
In one little chain of links, I have doubled my list of blog RSS feeds. I guess that will help me fill my surfing vacuum - now that national politics are not as exciting as they once were.
Who knew so many people are blogging?
