Clinton's nephew, Kyle, sent us a great honor in the visit of Flat Stanley.

Stanley saw the United States Capitol with Lizzy and me on Saturday.

I rather like the fuzzy-headed photo of Elizabeth with the Capitol dome in the background.

And here's a close shot of Stanley with the capitol reflected in the pond behind him.

Stanley was very interested in the Air and Space museum, hoping to catch sight of some famous paper airplanes.

We looked at a lot of planes, from the early days to the space age.

This is the original Wright Flyer that took humanity to the skies from Kitty Hawk.

We also saw a collection of amazing articles from United States History. We had to lighten this picture of George Washington's continental uniform since it was fairly dark.

Stanley enjoyed a walk along the Mall and saw a few monuments, including the Washington Monument here.

Our last stop with Stanley was the United States Archives.

Though a bit fuzzy, you may be able to see that this is the original Declaration of Independence. This, along with the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the things that Stanley was most impressed with. They show what power there can be in mere paper, to establish and protect our nations rights and liberties. Stanley is taking copies of both back with him to Kyle's class.

That is HILARIOUS! I am quite fond of Stanley. I love the poses of Lizzy and Stanley. It's nice to see all the cool sights and remember how close we live to them.
Tell Stanley I say Hello.
That is so cute! I'll bet Kyle is so thrilled to see Stanley is famous on the internet!
That Lizzy is a doll. Isn't it fun to live in DC with kids??
You are truly THE best aunt. My kids, along with Kyle and all the Reeder n&ns, are lucky to have you. :)
Flat Stanley?!?!?!?! I love it!
Hello Friends! I Love Stanley... He has been a favorite among my 2nd graders in years past. You all look great. Lizzie's fuzzy hair is the best.
