By popular demand, and after much waiting, here finally are a few pictures from the White House Egg Roll. I have some video as well, but that will have to come later.

It was fun. Very crowded. Lizzy didn't really like waiting in lines for everything, and didn't understand why we wouldn't let her run around a bit. It was too crowded to let her out of her stroller or out of our hands, really.

We tried to stay with friends at first, and then realized that if we were to have fun we'd have to let go of that notion. We stopped at things that interested Lizzy and had little or no line... which included a fiddle and guitar duo where 6 other families with toddlers were applying the same strategy, and also the Ocean Environmental Activist brochure table was a hit, since they had tattoos and a pamphlet Lizzy could crumple and look at.

We did line up for the egg roll. Lizzy mostly wanted to pick up the other eggs rather than roll hers, and used her spoon like a hockey stick rather than an egg-roll spoon; but nobody seemed to mind much. She didn't want to get off the egg roll lane and let the next group roll; but was soon distracted by a lady dressed as an egg with a hat and parasol.

Next year, I'll volunteer to go get tickets for somebody - that was fun. The event itself, though, I can gladly say "been there, done that."

One more picture. Courtney and Molly were not far behind us in the line to roll eggs, along with their cute babies.
