Live in Thanksgiving Daily

Thumper: "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all."

I haven't posted much the last couple weeks because it doesn't seem nice to catalog runny noses, headaches, ear infections, crusty eyes, and all the other attendant symptoms, and who has them today.

At the end of December a friend mentioned that she was going to make 2011 the year of living in thanksgiving daily.
It sounded like a fabulous idea and I decided to copy. I got a brand new journal for Christmas and decided to keep it up daily rather than quarterly-ish and to record my daily thanksgiving.

So despite my grumpy, pregnant, sick self-pity, here is something nice... yesterday's journal entry:
Monday January 24, 2011
What can I say? He sent me to bed and is doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen. This after he made dinner while I was in a hot shower. I'm miserable and he came home from a long hard day to take over my neglected domestic duties.
How can I not be grateful for such a man?

Our husbands must have attended the same "Husband Training School." That sounds very familiar. And it really is something to be thankful for.

I hope your home is back in healthy order soon and your pregnant-self can find relief.
