Landover, Maryland (That's a mile or two outside Washington D.C., Where the Redskins Play.)September 29, Tuesday
Verizon (Blackberry) sent a few complimentary tickets to Clint's office when they asked for a quote on scads of new lines and the hardware that they would require. So Clinton took me to the 360 tour.
I have a lot of things to say about Muse (who opened) and none of them very nice. That said, you couldn't have known that I wasn't into U2. I knew at least half the songs they did and rocked out on the songs I didn't know anyway. I rocked out for during those unknown-to-me songs in honor of those of my friends who were green with envy, are true fans, and would have known all the lyrics.
For the record, I did know Bono before, and it didn't take me too long to figure out the Edge and his status. (Admittedly, I was initially intrigued by the bass player more - he had a sparkly guitar strap.)I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The stage was amazing. The view was pretty good. We were on row 7 at about the 45 yard line. My favorite complaint about U2 is that their songs all sound the same; wasn't the caseduring the concert. It was amazing fun, lots of energy, lots of enthusiasm, good entertainment, interaction, good music. I'd have to say the Edge has gained my attention.

At what point in life do you get to change your name to say Street Car or Top or Envelope? Then by that name alone do people recognize you. Huh. I bet his mother, with all of her careful planning to name her precious newborn son, is thrilled.
I am monstrously jealous. I hope you had a wonderful time!
