Ironing III

When Clinton got his job offer, they quoted him a compensation just below my own lofty salary. I encouraged Clinton to counter for a higher rate. It's common enough, as I understand it. He was reluctant to dicker and wanted to be grateful and take the offer. I wanted to retire.

I told him that if he could beat my salary, I'd iron his shirts for a month.

I was pretty steady until Emma was born the following spring. I'm trying to get ironing into my mommy homemaker routine, but it's not always successful.
