What I found in the camera

I am not sure where I was, but I missed this. Quite aside from the outfit, the tragedy of Emma's expression makes me want to hold her tight.
Again, I'm all over the expression on these faces; but I'm in love with them, so maybe they aren't as amazing to the rest of the world.
There's the Thanksgiving spread. Great Grandma Reeder's sweet potatoes (blech) and baby sweet gherkins in honor of Great Grandma B.J.
We went with ham rather than turkey - oh Thanksgiving purists, please forgive us.
Friday we picked out our Douglas Fir and brought him home. Lizzy is beginning to get the hang of trimming the tree. Emma dropped lots of ornament hooks between the table where I threaded them and Daddy whose job was to assist in hanging.
This morning Emma grabbed my hand "help me." What do you need, I wanted to know. "Play." She was in her boots and dragged me to the back door. Luckily it was between rain showers. Lizzy likes the little trike that doesn't have pedals running into her feet as she goes. Emma likes trying to pedal the big trike even though her legs are still way to short.
We had soup for lunch after getting a bit chilled. Well, Emma and I had soup. Lizzy opted for a blanket and a peanut butter sandwich.
And I simply couldn't resist that picture. While this look was directed at the camera she wanted to take from me, I often get the same smile.
I haven't blogged much these past couple months. Some of it is pregnancy, and some is thinking I don't have anything to say... but then I had to remind myself that this blog is mine, so who cares if there's anything witty or smart or thought provoking. I can post whatever makes me happy... and this does.

It makes me happy too. Like they told us on the stage at college: Own it!

Your girls are so beautiful! I love the attempt to take the camera. You can't get truer to life than that!
