More than a week has passed since she went home; but my mother came to spend time with us. She arrived Tuesday and stayed until the following Monday.
She read stories and held the baby and treated us to some very nice meals. Additionally, she spoiled us with nice gifts. She brought Emma some pretty clothes and got new spring dresses for Lizzy, as well as some incentive for me to get back to my normal size.
We are grateful that she came to visit. She also seemed to enjoy her visit with us. We went downtown together one day to see some museums, and Mom got to go see the Library of Congress and the blooming cherry trees around the tidal basin.
