Sushi

A couple weeks ago, my friend Kelly insisted she was crazy for a girls' night.
"Don't care what we do, dinner, movie... whatever. You, me, Becky, maybe somebody else, but I gotta have some girl time."

We set it up for last night.
Kelly picked me up and then we went to get Becky. Now, usually, we would just meet someplace; but whatever. Kelly wondered if I was adventurous enough for sushi.
I was thinking Mexican or Chinese.

At the door, Becky said she wasn't sure she could go; come in and she'd explain.
The lights came on and lots of people yelled "Surprise!"

There was a room full of my friends, throwing a shower for my new Little Boy Blue.
I'd share pictures if I had any.
I was totally surprised, delighted to hang out with the girls, and showered with nice, snuggly, generous presents in blues, browns, oranges, and greens.
Somehow there's more reality this morning in the idea that we're about to have a baby boy.

Perhaps it is in the clothes that he's going to wear.
Thanks, friends.

How wonderful! Your little boy blue deserved a shower, and you did too, most definitely.

Glad you had a fun time, and didn't actually have to eat sushi. Fish? Yick. Good friends throwing you a party? FANTASTIC.

A surprise shower is SO MUCH better than sushi! I'm guessing. I've never been brave enough to try sushi.

I can only imagine that it was a wonderful night and I'm so happy for you and your upcoming boy blue. :) And I'm so glad that if I can't be there to celebrate with you, that you must have some other awesome people nearby to fill in!

Ha ha! That's totally awesome! I think my hormones are kicking in, because I am seriously fighting back the tears! Congrats. I have been wanting to ask about the birth plan for this baby. Will you share sometime soon? All my love and best wishes!
