Within hours of posting that blogging is guilt-free and requires no responses, I got tagged. Hmmm. Thanks a lot, Diana. Well, blogging requires ALMOST no responses. So I'm to list 6 quirky things about me. Here goes:
1: I prefer to drive without shoes. Unless they are laced and tied, I kick my shoes off upon getting behind the wheel. Winter Spring Summer Fall. If it's a long drive, I'll take off my laced-up tied-up shoes, too.
2: I know I am an average or even below-average driver. In Maryland that's quite and insult, but I think true anyway. Most of the world suffers from the delusion that they are above-average drivers and everybody else is an idiot. Not me. If I were you, I wouldn't advise driving on the same road as me. I'd still like cheaper insurance, however.
3: I'm a bargain-store shopper - and I probably spend more because of it. I hate clipping coupons, but if I know one store is largely cheaper than another (thermostat=milk prices) then I feel like I can get whatever I need and am more likely to impulse-buy other items.
4: I am a formatting nut. In your average Word document, the average American breaks lots of my rules. Don't tab-tab-tab-tab... just use the nifty little tab-stop tool and a single tab. Drives me nuts. I single-space always and double-space never. I absolutely use the styles feature that 95% of Word users don't know exists - and if they know it they don't use it. I know 6 other people who use it, and they break my rules too. The good news is that, unless you ask for my help with your resume or some other document, I'll leave your formatting alone.
5: When going up or down stairs, I almost always step off the last step with my right foot. Curbs, too. There's a tick in my brain that rather insists upon this, and the exception is when somebody is going to catch me at it and I don't want to look like a complete wierdo. Or when I'm helping to carry a large item of furniture and don't really want to trip somebody up and injure them.
6: Aren't those quirky enough? honestly. Ummm. Well, you know what quirk of mine drives you most crazy. Insert that right here and my list will be complete.

Mindy you have got to be one of the funniest people I know! I enjoy your blog very much, you're a clever writer.
I'm with you on the no-shoes-while-driving idiocyncracy. I don't know what it is, but I just can't stand my feet to be covered when I'm in charge of moving objects!
I totally admire your willingness to admit to your driving skills! I still have flash backs to carpooling on our paint crew jobs!
I generally drive with shoes, but I cannot play the piano or run my sewing machine with them on.
I think blogging is meant to be guilt-free as well--but could you try explaining that to my in-laws?
Min, I love your honesty. I have to admit that I conveniently "forget" what my quirks are, my most embarrassing moments, and where my keys are.
And congrats on Baby 2! I had no idea. I can't wait to see how cute Lizzy will be with a new baby!
I love this post. I made two posts to my own blog today and therefore shall not do the same thing on my own. However, if I don't I may not ever do it. I think it could be fun. Do you see my issue? I did also post a third blog on the family site. That is three in one day. The most I have ever accomplished was five in one month. On the family site I also edited a short video clip. I pulled it from several sources, sorted, edited, added music and effects. It is nice that I actually spend time on my computer now though. I mean for these last couple years I have had this beautiful gem right here and it has been underused. I guess things change when it is my only lifeline to the outside world and I have no vehicle to take me to other places to distract from my attention eh?
