Footprints...

A game I got from James. I know, wimpy to post this after two solid months of silence.
I've got a few friends who are picking up stale blogs and I have in mind to start posting again also.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! (And if you only know me through blogging, then leave your favorite post and why you keep coming back! :) )

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Yes, it is lame to revive your blog with this game. But I've played it for others, I will do the same for you!

I have oodles of memories of you, but after a weekend of painting and renting scaffolding to paint my vaulted ceilings, I would have to say that the one in my mind is that school in Bountiful we painted, I think it was a junior high. Do you remember the shop we did? Lots of long talks and oldies on the radio!

What better way to get the ball rolling on a stagnant blog than get some people to start pushing with you? Newton's 2nd law of motion?

I also have oodles of noodles of memories so to pick one. . . eenie meanie miney mo!

It was an afternoon in 2005 and there wasn't much going on at home base back in WP. I was sitting in the crook of the kitchen counter between the sink and the stove right by the paper towel dispenser. You spoke to me in russian. I spoke to you in spanish. We had a conversation. Not a lengthy or complicated conversation, but a conversation none the less. There was communication in what can only be described as foreign dialects. That moment changed my life. It helped propel me to wear I currently am. Like a meteor shower impacting the surface of a celestial body, you continue to terraform my life. I am ever grateful.

Yay! A new post!! And lame or not, its still good to hear from you!
So here's my memory. Do you remember baking a cake in your microwave? Ha ha!! I haven't thought about that until just now and remembering how the sweet Korean couple across the hall were freaking out and we couldn't understand them...
OH, but to redeem that memory of a botched bakery item, I do have my very first memory of you and Clinton... The day J and I got back from our honeymoon and you and Clinton brought us over the yummiest cookies ever! That was awesome!!

I remember when I met you at the ward picnic and you made that cool watermelon sherbet thing. I was so impressed.

And, of course, our awesome camp out at the White house.

Hey old friend. There are few people that I leave memories for...but of you there are some fun ones! My favorite would be our play date of long ago--the mud "big foot" footprints and the banging on the pipes. Weren't we so creative?

Bubble fights after doing dishes, perching on the couch, plastic snakes, the pact to pinch Marci's bum, and the memory of Ricky's limbs being tucked in. How's that for memories?! I have tons more, but those were the first few that popped into my head. what fun times! And of course the fun experience Jeff and I had when we came out to visit you! We still talk about how great that trip was - thank you!! And congrats on the little one!

Hi Mindy Tech! I found the link to your blog on Jeri Dawn's site! When I saw that you want people to share memories, I quickly indulged. My favorite memory of you was when we went to Utah State to scope out the school and decide if we would go there. Glad to see you're doing well! Tara (Mann)

Shoot, Alisha already mentioned biscuits! Oh Tech, I have so many great memories of you. I remember right before you left on your mission, one random sunday, after I'd been dating Paul a little while and you asked me, "do you love him?" And that was the first time I thought about it that way and I said, "yeah, I think I do." I know, crazy memory, but that's one of the million memories I have of you!
