Friends

Recent picture of Lizzy with half of Clinton. So Grandma remembers what she looks like.

I never realized so many people read my blog. 9 comments... can you imagine? and after a long dark silence.

In my defense, as Lauren noted, I've been tired for a few months. We are expecting child number 2, very exciting, scheduled to arrive in early March. YIPPEEE. Our blog now features the creepy floating baby countdown.

I had 4 roommates during my last 2 years in college. One had her third baby this summer. Another is due to have her second in December, and the remaining two have recently announced that they're having firsts - both have due dates within 2 weeks of me.
Life is full of weird little twists like that. Slightly less momentous is when you pass 4 white Honda Accords of varying vintages in an uninterupted line on the freeway. Still a little interesting, no?

I love the blogging world. Shout out to Tara, who I lost some 8 or 10 years ago, and who found me. Funny how some people, after you don't see them for a while, can be totally forgotten, so that when you do see them they are vaguely familiar and you can't quite place them?
Then there are the memorable folks who come up in your mind with some frequency, and who you'd know in 10 years as if you'd spent yesterday afternoon with them, only there is some catching up to do.
I guess that's the difference between friends and acquaintances?
So no real topic, but a bit of gratitude for friends who are still friends after months of silence and years of being out of touch.

And on a totally unrelated theme, here's a picture of a recent Sunday nap. I kind of hope that the next wee one likes me as much as Lizzy likes her Daddy. That would be nice. I'm told I need a boy, because boys love their mamas and girls love their daddys. True?

Negative on the boys lovin' their mommas!!!! I've got two who think their dad is the center of their universe. At least that is how things worked out in my world. (and add me to your list . . . I'm expecting a third early February--congrats to you on yours!!)

I've been kind of out of the blogging world lately, too. And what do you know, I'm expecting in March! March 15 is my due date. I've got two high school friends and Dallin's cousin that I know well, all due within a week before/after me. So March must be the time to have a baby! Congratulations!!!
