New Year - New Post

And it's about time. We finally took down the tree last night, nearly a week into January.
Ah well.
We had a fabulous holiday. Lizzy is starting to "get" Christmas. She spent most of December pointing out all the no-men that she saw. These included genuine snowmen, Santa, snowflakes, and gingerbread men. Pictures, of course, since we haven't seen a flake of snow since we left Salt Lake City in mid-December.
We enjoyed Christmas evening with friends, playing with their new toys and games and enjoying a potluck Christmas dinner where both visiting families brought funeral potatoes. So Emily and I didn't communicate in advance; she brought her potatoes to the baptism Saturday, where I brought my untouched pumpkin pie from Christmas.
New Years we had friends over - they brought fondue and we played our new Christmas games. I'm the newest fan of "Ticket to Ride" - that was a great game. It's on my list now.
