On the Farm

My friend spent last week pig-sitting. Well, she was taking care of a whole menagerie, and invited use to come meet the animals. So Saturday while Daddy was helping the missionaries, Lizzy and I went to the farm.
Lizzy got to feed chickens, alpacas, pigs, and a rabbit. We also got to see Rheas, ducks, and a pair of somewhat aggressive turkeys. The Alpacas tickled, apparently, when then nibbled out of Lizzy's hand.
The pigs, Fenimore and [I think] Chesepeake, were runts and were due to be eliminated, but the animal-man couldn't stand that and adopted them. They live in the house, wag their tails like dogs, and seem to be almost canine. The Rheas are also rescued.
Thanks Natalie, for the fun field trip.

Every kid needs a good "pig hugging" memory!
