National Zoo

We intended to go to the Zoo on Saturday before Memorial Day, but when the parking lots were full, the roads were packed, and the nearest onstreet parking was more than a mile away, we opted to try something different.

As Lizzy had been requesting the zoo since Louis broke down, we had to go. Tuesday after Memorial Day was a great day for the zoo.

We had been enjoying family vacation for several days, but it was a good way to spend Clint's first vacation day.

It rained.

We got a little wet; but we had a good time.

We ended up eating our picnic lunch in the fogged-up car while the rain monsooned around us.
