This is a boat, incidentally.

At the time of baby-proofing, I had to empty out this filing cabinet. It turned out to be a bad place for staplers, thumb tacks, batteries, post-it notes, markers, and paints. Now it would be a great place for toys; but toys are even better on the floor and on the couch.

I was pretty proud of my sewing abilities when I made a matching pair of little girls skirts. It took me a while yesterday to realize that Emma had pulled Lizzy's out of the laundry basket to wear over her own- and inside out.

And one more sewing project. I don't like how little girls' shorts are so short. I'm trying to teach my 4-year old about modesty, and I'm not exactly ecstatic with her shorts barely covering her new Dora-the-Explorer drawers. Target had $4 leggings and I grabbed a pair and chopped them off. Lizzy helped me hem them.
