Kirtland

At church I work with the teenagers, girls aged 12-18. This summer's Youth Conference was a road trip to Kirtland, Ohio, the site of the first temple built by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I got to bring Clinton along, thanks to a generous visit from my mom. The Kirtland pictures are on Clinton's phone, not here.

Mom stayed with the girls for three days, and then hung out with us for three more days.

We enjoyed going down town to see the National Archives, Grammy's favorite paintings, Arlington National Cemetery, the Jefferson Memorial, and a bus tour around the Capitol.

Grammy brought dress-ups for Lizzy, and Emma participated as well.

Grammy braids better than I do.

She went home this morning. We will miss Grammy a lot.

Really cool you got to take the girls to Kirtland. How far is that from where you are? It seems like a very unique experience for Youth Conference. I can't wait to see pictures.
