We had a great visit with Dad and Linda in Defiance. We enjoyed seeing the home improvement projects, particularly the hickory kitchen cabinets that dad built.
We saw the civlized portion of Dad's 3 acres. Some day I'd like to come back and take a ramble through the woods on their property.
We enjoyed about a third of the St. Louis zoo; we'll have to come back again and see more. Lizzy particularly liked the primate house and zebras.
We also took advantage of Dad's dress savvy. Clinton's professional wardrobe to this point was a couple suits, some mission shirts, and five ties. Not enough for a full-time gig. So we spent some of his stipend on the professional wardrobe that will start him out in politics.
Why is it that some power ties are hideous, and some beautiful ties are "clown ties"? Evidently power likes ugly. Luckily some of the new ties are nice looking.
