Tuesday dawned bright and clear, though we slept in some. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and did some laundry and talked about what we wanted to do. We thought maybe the zoo or This is the Place Pioneer Park. First, though, Grandma wanted to take Lizzy shopping for an outfit. We got pants, two shirts, and a hoodie.
Time wouldn't allow a trip up to the zoo neighborhood; so instead we played in the South Towne Mall play area and on the carousel.We had dinner at Spaghetti Mama's, which is a favorite local restaurant of mine and Clinton's.
Derek's Winter Band concert closed the evening. Derek did fabulously, and Lizzy was very well entertained for most of the performance. Lizzy seems to have inherited my mom's talent for enjoying Junior High Band concerts - something I wouldn't have expected from a toddler, especially my lively toddler. She danced in her place and sang along a bit, tapped her toes and wiggled in time with the music.
